Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 April 2026

BUYIQ ("we", "us", "our") (ABN 35 684 183 471, ACN 684 183 471) is the data controller for the purposes of this Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, hold, use, disclose, secure, and dispose of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Personal Information We Collect

  • Email address — for Verdict delivery, payment receipts, and operational correspondence.
  • Billing information — collected and processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not see or store full card numbers.
  • Uploaded documents — the strata report you submit, and any derived text extract. These may contain personal information of third parties (e.g. lot owners, strata manager details) that is incidentally present in the records.
  • Technical data — IP address, user-agent, and timestamps, used solely for security, abuse prevention, and aggregated diagnostics.

2. Why We Collect It

We collect personal information only to provide the Service:

  • to process your payment and issue a receipt;
  • to produce your Verdict and, if purchased, the Audit;
  • to deliver the Verdict by email and to host it on a signed access link;
  • to respond to support enquiries; and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Disclosures

Your information may be disclosed to, or processed by, the following trusted providers strictly for the purposes above:

  • Stripe, Inc. (USA) — payment processing.
  • Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosting and encrypted object storage.
  • Anthropic PBC (USA) — language-model inference to produce the Verdict and Audit. Anthropic does not train on customer inputs by default under its commercial terms; we rely on that commitment.
  • Namecheap PrivateEmail (USA) — transactional email delivery from our buyiq.net mailboxes.

Each third party is contractually or by stated policy obliged to protect the information it handles. Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this cross-border transfer.

4. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your personal information with advertisers or marketing networks.
  • We do not use your uploaded documents to train AI models.
  • We do not read your documents beyond the automated pipeline unless you explicitly invite us to do so for support purposes.

5. Retention and Deletion

Uploaded documents and generated Verdicts are retained for 30 days from the date of upload, after which they are scheduled for deletion. Email-address records and payment metadata are retained for 7 years to meet tax and audit obligations. You may request earlier deletion of uploaded documents and Verdicts at any time by emailing verdict@buyiq.net.

6. Security

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest on storage, access-controlled admin, signed access URLs for Verdict retrieval, and least-privilege service credentials. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable steps consistent with industry practice.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us for prompt deletion.

8. Your Rights (APP 12 and 13)

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. Where lawful, we will comply; where we refuse, we will explain why. Requests can be made to verdict@buyiq.net.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We use only strictly necessary cookies required to operate the Service (checkout, session, CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Any server-side analytics are limited to aggregated counts; no per-user behavioural profiles are constructed.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached this Policy or the APPs, please contact verdict@buyiq.net. We will investigate and respond in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

11. Updates

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at buyiq.net/privacy with the effective date shown at the top of this page.
